The UAE is going to host COP 28 in 2023, having some common goals – · Achieving Sustainability · Encouraging Global Cooperation · Addressing Climate Issues Green Initiatives Practised & Propagated by the UAE – · Agriculture Innovation Mission – To create considerable investments in climate-smart agriculture in the next 5 years · Global Methane Pledge – To reduce methane emissions by 30% by the end of 2023 · Renewable Resources – $400 Million investment to help developing countries switch to renewable sources for energy generation · Net Zero 2050 – A strategic initiative was taken to make the UAE carbon-neutral by mid-century · The UAE government spent $17 Billion to help 27 island nations facing adverse climatic effects. For the UAE, challenges are opportunities & COP28 will bring solutions for all planetary and economic consequences of climate change.
