Third party counters has shown to be very unrelieable. We have made several test with third party counters and we actually run one of theese free services our self - just for monitoring purposes. Our test shows that these counters pickup anything between 15% to about 85% of the visitors sent. To make things even worse we have made several test where we have placed primary and secondary counters on both our ad servers and the servers receiving the visitors. The difference in send and receive is typically between 85% to 99% where the third party counters typically only count about 50% of the visitors sent. Our real-time counter are the only counters that can show precisely how many visitors we have sent.
